The World is Flat! What About That?

Reflections of the Holmes Scholars 2006 Summer Institute

Strand 1

In July 2006, Holmes Scholars converged on the nation’s capital to get an intimate look into the world of Washington’s educational policy and research organizations. Thomas Friedman’s book, “The World is Flat,” provides an intellectual backdrop for this presentation. Our goal is that by sharing the impact that the week long Institute had on the Scholars both individually and collectively, Holmes Partnership Institutions will zealously seek full participation of their Scholars in next year’s Institute.
