Muthoni Kimemia

Muthoni Kimemia is a Doctoral student at the University of Central Florida.

Franklyn recruited Muthoni into the UCF Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and into the UCF Holmes Scholars Program and provided significant mentoring to her up until the time of his illness. According to her Dean, Dr. Sandra Robinson, "Since that time, she has continued to exemplify the qualities that we saw in Franklyn by demonstrating an enduring passion for her work, in her case with children and female caregivers of children with HIV/AIDS; kindness and support toward others; and the ability to touch the lives of countless individuals." Muthoni reflects the spirit of this award

Alyssia James

Alyssia James, doctoral candidate at the George Washington University and 2003-2004 Holmes Scholars Council Vice President was selected as the first recipient of the Franklyn Williams Award. This award will be given each year to a scholar that demonstrates the qualities, values, and leadership that Franklyn represented for the scholar community. Congratulations to Alyssa for a well deserved recognition!
